One of the funniest Korean movies I've come across so far. Just when I thought it couldn't get any funnier, it bowls me over in another fit of chuckles. I expected a few laughs but this was a riot!
Choi Kang Hee is GENIUS at portraying her character of a sex-columnist-turned-manhwa-storyboard-writer (FYI, manhwa=Korean comics). And Lee Seon Gyun (RAWR) is as arrestingly charismatic as per usual playing an erm...erotic manhwa writer in dire need of a writer 'cause his stories suck. How can a plot like that not be funny??? Especially since the 'sex columnist' is a virgin, who bases all her knowledge on women's magazines?
Previously acted together in My Sweet City (2008)This was for me what I was hoping Cyrano Dating Agency would be like for me (which was a snorefest or maybe I expected too much). Maybe the drama wrought out at the ending felt a little random but it's expected in every Korean movie ever made. I really liked the use of comic strips and effects bordering on anime in this movie.
Damn women's magazines!!I'm trying not to spoil it for anyone, but I loved the hot chocolate scene as well as watching the heroine fumble to prove how 'experienced' she is. (My sis thought I was crazy, shrieking by myself at the computer... =_=')
Highly recommended for lovers of the genre!!!
I heard this song on 2 Days & 1 Night just now. It's called Hawaiian Couple by Humming Urban Stereo and it's the soundtrack for the movie My Love (also starring Choi Kang Hee and eep! Reaper Boy from 49 Days!) :)
